Transdisciplinarity and the Ahistorical Figure

Concept

This enquiry begins with the bird in flight. Here, transdisciplinarity is not understood as the blending of disciplines, nor as a strategy for moving between fields. It is approached as a state of being: a disposition that thinks from the open sky, aware of the violence by which history fixes, names, borders and repeats itself.

The ahistorical figure is not without history. Rather, it refuses to be captured by history’s demand for identification. Like the bird that has learned to fly without perching, it moves through the world without surrendering itself to the linear plots, institutional enclosures and inherited narratives through which power secures its continuity.

This enquiry asks what it means to think, create and witness from that position — not as escape, but as intention and intervention.
